So my friend bought this USB printer today, but he really needs to use to print stuff from Clipper, a DOS database. Tough, because I know DOS doesn't see USB devices (although I've seen some that do work with BIOS/driver tweaks). RANT MODE ON: So I get on the HP tech chat for a solution. Hopefully, I can buy a parallel cable to make it work (I haven't seen the printer, so I don't know if there's a connector). Here's our chat. ME: hello Melissa: Hello. This printer does not have an option to print from Dos. So I come to you wise folks at this forum to ask how I can tweak this thing to work in DOS.
