Dell Volstro 1500 laptop Keyboard Acting up

My keyboard (Dell Volstro 1500 laptop) has been acting weird off lately ... every time I start my laptop ... for the first 5 mins or so it drives me crazy... it types 2-3 extra characters for every letter that I type.. .. but after 5 mins of that it stops acting up and runs smoothly for the whole session. For example - If I type 'a' .. it would type 'qaz', for 's' it would type 'wsx' ... for 'c' it would type 'dc' .. and likewise. Has anyone experienced such a thing before????

Is it some kind of software problem ... as in drivers .. or virus?

Also to share with you ... Its been raining like cats and dogs here around where I live .. and there is high level of humidity and moisture in the atmosphere here. .. could that be the reason??? I believe, probably, that after keeping it ON for 5 mins the heat generated in the systems fixes it up automatically??

Any suggestions???

Your suspicions sound like a plausible explanation. You probably should attempt to dry it out some. Possibly a hair dryer would work. Don't over do it though.
