Specs: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit, qx9770 / 8gb ddr3
Hi all. I am unsure about which fully spec'd cpu comes with this desktop. Is it the q6850 according to the pdf's out their or the q9650?

I see the t3400 on ebay with the q9650. However, when i look at several pdf's like this one:

the q6850 is the only one with 8mb l2 cache. the q9650 has 12mb cache.

It would depend on what was ordered with the system. There are many options. What exactly are you looking for?

If you have a Service Tag number, you can enter that in and see exactly what the Original Configuration was.

Hope that helps.

Is the cpu identified in DEVICE MANAGER--PROCESSORS?

Do you already have this PC or are you considering buying it? As computer hardware goes, it's fairly outdated - socket 775, X38 chipset, DDR2 RAM - so don't overpay for 2007 technology.

There were numerous processor options available in the T3400 series. You need to get to get the service tag number & then entire it at the Dell site to find the detailed specs.

I am considering buying it as a backup desktop. All i want to know is what the highest spec'd processor it comes with. According to the pdf's the q6850 is the highest but i see some on ebay that come with the q9650.
