Specs: Windows XP
I was working on my computer.I was attempting to put a video card in.So I found a slot to put it in and it fit! So I went to turn it on and it wouldn't.I took the card out and it lit up and made that fan noise it makes when you turn it on and the monitor turned on.Then all the sudden it stopped and turned itself off.I tried every thing but it wont turn on!

Not enough info. Post the make/model of video card & the slot type it uses (PCI, AGP or PCI-express). Post the model of your Dimension XPS. Post the amperage specs to your 460w power supply. Does the video card require a 4-pin or 6-pin aux power connector? If so, did you have it plugged in?
