Solved Dell Optiplex 745 won't boot

May 13, 2013 at 08:54:16
Specs: Windows 7
I have a 3.4Ghz dual core w/ 2GB ram. Suddenly shut down and won't boot. Hard drive indicator lights for a couple of seconds, dvd burner flashes for several seconds and then displays a "2" and a "4" on the front of the cpu and fan runs but nothing else. Screen remains black.

After further reading, I decided to un-seat and re-seat all cards and memory as well as disconnecting and reconnecting drive cables. Everything is back to normal without having to purchase a new graphics card.
