"I searched half the internet for any information about Dell optiplex 466/le"

I'm wondering if you searched at all? I just put "Dell optiplex 466/le" into Google to see what would come up & check this out:

What do you mean by not the right version? Do you have other numbers?

Any chance #5 was meant for some other post?
Or have I gone mad? (don't answer that).

"i've seen this but this is sadly not for the right version..."

The Dell spec sheet in response #2 covers 6 different versions of the OptiPlex 486:
486/SL, 486/LE, 486/L, 486/M, 486/ME, 486/MXE.

They are also know by their processor speed. Yours has a 66MHz CPU & is known as 466/LE. If it had a 50MHz CPU, it would be 450LE; if it had a 33MHz CPU, it would be 433LE. Look again at the PDF in response #2, go to page 2, then look at the list of System boards.

re' #5...

How odd.. It was indeed previously posted in another thread here; and although I dun copy etc. for a Dell related (tiny url versioned) link, the previous threads item persisted...

Will have to dig out the correct one (

Aha, there must have been a bug because, now its back again, I remember seeing that link to a pdf. I'll take that as my discharge from the mental home.

Derek:

I think occasionally the copy (right click) doesn't always clear the previous copy 'n paste data and thus one can paste older/previous info...

I'll have a word with the superintendent of your care home and arrange your release.
