I have dell desk top computer purchased from somebody4 months back.it is windows xp servicepack2. 3 weeks before i had a problem of not connecting to internet. Then i found the problem in device manager that ethernet controllers are p1,p28 are missing.then by the help of dell service engineer i instolled drivers,not working then i did restore option,when i did restore,got a message u can't restore.but i dont now its started working suddenly. but last 2 days monitor get turn off suddenly when i am working on the system.It repeats continuously.please help somebody how to solve the problem.

the reason i ask is at this point it coud be 1 of 3 things 1. if its the monitor try using another monitor 2. it could be the known problem by dell that is swolen or leaky capacitors causing the whole pc to shut down shortly after turning it on 3. it could be the graphics card / chip, or drivers for either
