So I think I have a loose cable perhaps on my laptop. When I open it the screen is all green (instead of black as it should be), and when I adjust the angle that the screen is open it flickers between greens and other colors and the correct colors that the screen should be. I am able to get the monitor to the perfect colors after some jiggling, but if I bump it, it will often go either completely green again (where I can still see the webpage or document I'm looking at, but it's tinted green) or it will flicker with parts of the screen going different colors, and parts of the screen looking normal. Any ideas on what is wrong and how much it would cost to fix?

As long as you sometimes get a normal display, it sounds like the wiring between the base and the the display in the top is damaged, probably where it goes through the hinge. It shouldn't cost all that much to replace that. However, an all over tint can be a symptom of your voltage inverter or your backlight (CCFL) starting to fail. For some info about replacing a voltage inverter or backlight, and what some typical symptoms are, see response 5 in this: http://www.computing.net/hardware/w...
