Reply: (edit)The keyboard connector may have come loose inside the laptop, or the circuit track that connects those specific keys may have a break. Joe

Reply: (edit)The keys are in somewhat of a line. Maybe a bad trace? Underdog

Reply: (edit)It is the faulty connector on the keyboard. Call up Dell Tech Support & report the case, if the system still under warranty, they'll replace the keyboard for u, if not then u might need to purchase another keyboard from DELL. Temporary solution is to plug in an external keyboard :)

Reply: (edit)Interesting. I have the exact same problem with a Dell Inspiron 3800 keyboard. The problem occurs intermittently. I can fix it temporarily by pressing down hard on the "i" key. Did you find a replacement keyboard? Where did you get it.....and how much did you pay? Thanks.
