Hi,
I have been building a Dell Inspiron 1200 from bits and pieces. Actually a large box of disassembled 1200 rds. It's parts from 5 dells. Mostly broken or non working parts.

So I have actually ...almost got it to go except for a problem with the eeprom chip on the one working board.

Looked everywhere.....with magnifying glass and googled until almost blind.

I know it's there but where?

Being a scrapper Dell is unwilling to help.

Does any one have a clue where on the board the eeprom is ?

There are the Bios and CMOS chips. I think they are both EEProms.

Actually, after thinking about it, I believe the CMOS chip was incorporated into the Bios chip quite a while ago.
