My cooling fan does not work on my laptop. I have changed it out with a new one and it still does not kick in. Does anyone have any ideas? Is there a program I can download to test the fan?

I believe the fan is temperature controlled in order to conserve battery life. The fan may not be required for cooling when the computer is under light load. Try taxing it and see if the fan then runs.

I'm not too familiar with laptops but you may want to check the BIOS screens to see if there are any temperature threshold settings foar the fan.
