Dell GX280 USB Problem

Specs: Windows 7, Dell gx280 Ram 1 Gb
Usb conflict Dell gx280 ..Guys plz help me.. ive a dell gx280.. monitor screen flickers.. after few blinks keyboard or mouse stops working. i unplug and plug again..the keyboard or mouse again starts to work fine but after few seconds the prob arises again.. screen starts to blink.. I've changed the keyboard mouse power supply monitor but the prob is still there.. even in the bios mode.. unplugged everything Hard disk, Dvd Rom & all the usb devices but no change.. kindly help me.. Boot to the Windows dvd and just see if it stay stable for a while, No need to install anything just boot to the installer menu. If it is stable then consider reload of the OS. If not stable then you may need to swap out parts or check hardware via tests.

My first thought (from experience working with these Dell Models,) is that the MOBO is going bad. The 270s and 280s are notorious for that...

A new board would cost a few hundred dollars.

The other cause could be that these models are not supported in Windows 7, so you probably don't have all the correct drivers.

You could try reverting to Windows XP and see if performance is any better. You may just be better off just getting a new computer, especially since this one is several years old.
