Hi Chay,

Are you getting the option to enter password before or after Windows logo?

You can refer to the link mentioned below:

You can send me a private message with System Service tag and name listed on the account for assistance.

Thanks for the very quick response Manshu. Fraid I don't know how to do a private message. The message was before Windows loaded. I looked online and found how to switch the password jumper to "off". This worked and Windows loaded up ok. However when moved things back on to the desk and restarted, I get nothing but about 6 beeps . No display at all. Ermm ... am I doing anything wrong ?

Cheers. Chay

A wee update - I've since did the exercise again and no more beeping and Windows is loading up okay.

But thanks very much Manshu.
best wishes.

Hi Chay,

Thank you for the reply.

Let us know the status of the power LED.

Unplug the power cable. Press and hold power button for 10 seconds. Turn on the system.

If the issue persists, reset the CMOS battery and ensure all the cables are connected properly. You may use the manual by clicking the link mentioned below:

NOTE: Reseating of system component is to be done by a professional only.

Thanks & Regards

Here's the manual download page for that model:

The beep code should be in the owner's manual and/or user guide. If you have problems in the future you can refer there to what the beeps mean and maybe get an idea of what's wrong.
