I'm looking at buying a new case and mobo for my dell dimension 4600, this is the mobo,

http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProductDesc.asp?description=13-135-152&depa=0

can i transfer everything else over? if not what do i need to buy new to have my dell work with a new case and motherboard.

i've heard that dells have an odd combo of mobo and power supply that work with each other and nothing else, does that mean i need a new psu???

Don't do it...Dell is stupid like that...they do it for the sole purpose of YOU not upgrading it...they save money like that...

Would i only need to get the mobo and the case? If thats all i need, i want to do it, but if i need to buy a new cpu, then i wont. Do i need to buy anything else besides the mobo and case????

read this about replacing mobos.

http://www.windowsreinstall.com/install/other/motherboard/index.htm

you will need to install new mobo drivers.

On the left side of this page you will see a link to "install guides". It has a ton of info.
