Okay, got a job I'm kinda stuck on. This lady called Dell and they told her the reason her computer would start up normal but the monitor did not respond (a la black screen) is because the motherboard is dead. I guess they troubleshot it over the phone and came to that conclusion. So she got a new motherboard for it and asked me to put it in... the only problem is, I checked it before and confirmed the same problem she had stated.

Replaced all the parts and the motherboard, but I still have the same damn problem! Can anyone help? Quick responses would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Lights work and everything. It powers on but there is no reponse. I am going to try swapping out the video card and see if that's the problem.

If it is I'll just go to the computer shop and buy one. They're like a couple bucks for those old pieces of crap.

I will let you guys know if it is the video card, and if with the new information you think it may be something different, please feel free to suggest.
