Comment:
The Dell Dimension 3000 has two cooling fans attached to the back grille using cheap flimsey plastic tabs that allow the grille to buzz and rattle like crazy. I fixed that problem by dousing each plastic tab with Elmers glue - no more buzzes or rattles.

How do you replace one when it fails? Gluing it to the case may not be the best option for eliminating the rattles.
I used to have a signature but it disappeared and I just couldn't be bothered writing another so please feel free to ingore this.

it's just Elmer's glue..which means that if he wants to get it off, it'll come right off the plastic..to the OP..good tip..im sure some poor soul with a noisy fan will find it useful
