Dell Dimension 2400 Side Panel

Dell/ Dimension 2400

Specs: WinXP Sp2, 2.4Ghz/256

How does the side panel on the Dimension 2400 come off? It is supposed to be one of those toolless cases, but I cannot slide it off. (Need to change the cd drive). I even used a flat blade screwdriver under the part that wraps around the back but the panel would only give about 1/16 inch. Thanks in advance for any help.

Before you break the case I suggest that you use the support number on the case to access the correct dell.com support page. Download the owners manual. If you don't have the service number you can still access the site using the correct model number.

I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you goober.

Ohmigod, I knew it had to be something simple. I was trying to rotate that "lever", and of course it doesn't rotate. LOL. Thanks.

If you go to Dell's site and enter the Service Tag number, you can obtain all information about that particular system.

You're lucky you didn't break anything.
