Check in Device Manager to see what it says there about the sound.
Worse case you should be able to add a PCI sound card for a little cash.

ghulst, looks like you have trouble getting your specs...just click on the link below and there is info to help you with that.
You can also just go to the dell website and download your audio drivers....they are probably corrupted.

Reinstall your audio drivers. Also Personally, I like Creative Sound Blaster Sound Cards better over On Board Sound Cards (None Creative Sound Cards is my nickname to it).
