Subject: Dell comes with what integrated?
OS: Vista Home Basic
CPU/Ram: 1GB
Model/Manufacturer: Dell Inspiron 530s/531s
Comment:
I plan to buy a dell computer, and im choosing between 2. The inspiron 530s, or the inspiron 531s. What integrated graphics card does each one come with? And i want to know from personal experience, because the dell website/chat rep., each tells me something different. And how much shared memory does each have?

I wouldent recommend buying a brand name computer. They may look shiny but they are usually poor quality. Find any local computer store that make their own computers and buy one of those.

They are pretty much always made of better parts, have less junk on their hard drives (And will start up faster), they are more upgradeable than brand name PC's and you usually get support which isn't nearly as frustrating as waiting on a phone for hours.

My Take of the super P3:

P3 Tualatin @ 1.58GHz

I agree with one thing Matt said; waiting on the phone for hours is frustrating.

I disagree with everything else he said....

My Parents bought me a HP computer a fair while ago, It was loaded with a bunch of crap software which started up with the computer, within a year both the soundcard and CPU fan were gone. ALL brand name PC's have crap PSU's made to bare minimum spec's to run the PC.

My dad bought a brand new Dell laptop which was loaded with so much software that it was slower than his 1GHz Celeron system that I built for him, on its first boot it actually blue screened. Same story with many friends.

Maby I've just had bad experiences, but every brand name PC I have ever used has been poor quality and loaded to the brim with crap. With custom PC's they are much smoother, more reliable and quicker to respond because of the lack of 1000's of background processes.

I suppose all people have different experiences.
