I'm looking to buy a Dell 316LT laptop (I know it's very old, but don't ask why), preferably in good condition with the battery included (although the battery doesn't need to be working). The screen must work fine, and a power cable must be included. I'm willing to pay a lot more than the laptop is thought to be worth, so if you've got one or know somewhere I can find one, please reply. Will - as you are in the UK (like myself) have you tried looking in the PC-MART magazine which I think is weekly and is a pc version of exchange and mart. You will be amazed at what is advertised and also there is a wants section that you might use. I have to ask though - WHY? Good luck - keep us posted.

I have a Dell 316LT . It has the Maximum of 8mb RAM and a Type 47 115MB Hard Drive . It has the built in 1.44MB floppy , built in modem (speed ? ) ,2 LPT printer ports ( one appears to have been added ) , PS/2 keyboard port , serial port for mouse , and a jack for an external VGA monitor . The screen is LCD , not color , but output for the monitor jack is color . The battery is in fair condition , as it will hold a charge without the low battery indicator light turning on . This also includes the original Dell case and Dell AC Adapter .It is running Windows 3.1 and Dos 6.0 . Wordperfect 5.1 is installed as well . I will take $50.00 for it plus shipping . I will be listing it on Ebay soon as well .

I have have just dug mine out of the loft. It appears to be still working, but has no battery with it. Maybe also the battery on the motherboard has also died as it doesn't keep the date.
