Can anyone tell me the benchmark for startup time for different machines. My machine with PIII-750 with 512 MB RAM 20GB HDD (Dual Partition with Win 2000 and Linux 9.2) takes approximately about 2 mts to come to the Desktop. I have personally fine-tuned the machine to have as little driver loads as possible during boot and I dont have any system tray software also except Anti-virus. All the other software i load only thru Start Menu. How to increase the bootup speed or my PC bootup time is already correct ? Where to find out ? Thanks Jagannathan Balaji
