OS: win xp/linux
CPU/Ram: 512
Product: soltek sl-75drv2
Comment:

i bought this system from junk.
SPECS-
processor-AMD athlon AX1800DMT3C
chipset- VIA
Motherboard- soltek sl-75drv2
Graphics-ATI radeon 7000 64 Mb

here are the problems.

My CPU is BLOWN
My mother board stinks like hell.
I read somewhere that its a burst electrolytic capacitor but i dont see any guiii substance from any capacitor.
My CPU smells like its being baked and i think my CPU is smelling. This concludes that there is no smell from my motherboard.

I took this to a repair shop and they told me some I.C. is blown up along with your CPU but i didnt want to spend any money so i came to you GUYS.

Can anyone PLEASE help me or guide me or give me a site reference on repairing motherboards

then get ready to buy a new board.
you will spend way more money on the burned stuff than a new one.

Try browsing computer shows or flea markets. Boards and processors or that vintage should go for little cash. Don't rely on anything that was in your system. Power supply is suspect and RAM and add-in cards could also be damaged. Many forums have swap sections where members sell off surplus gear. If you are using "cpu" to refer to the computer case and what is inside of it, that is not proper terminology. The cpu - central processing unit - the processor - is the most complicated, and usually the largest, integrated chip installed on the mboard without which nothing else can work - the computer case is just the case.

It is rare for a cpu or anything on a mboard to give off any stink for more than a very brief time, but it is common for a failing or failed power supply to do so, perhaps for a long time.
Failing power supplies are common and can cause your symptoms.
Check your PS.
See response 4 in this:

If the PS has failed, the damage that can do is random, unfortunately. It can damage the mboard or cpu or anything connected to the mboard, or the computer may be fine once the PS has been replaced. The better quality the PS is, the less likely anything other than itself was damaged. If the PS is an el-cheapo (that didn't cost much), e.g. Bestec, it is a lot more likely to have damaged something else.

In my experiences:
- if the PS was a good quality one, it has anti-short and over voltage protection that is supposed to turn off the PS when either are encountered, that works properly - chances are good nothing else was damaged.
- if the PS shorted or the voltages were too high before it died, in this order, the floppy drive is most likely to be damaged, less likely the CD or DVD drives, then cards in slots or video whether onboard or on a card, least likely the cpu or mboard (the Bestec brand PSs tend to kill the mboard but not the cpu).
Floppy and optical drives may still light up their led but will not read a disk. Cards and video may work but have or quickly develop problems, such as scrambled video or artifacts, or a dail-up modem won't connect.
- the ram and hard drive(s) are usually not damaged. However, there may be minor damage to the data (corruption) on the hard drive that needs to be fixed.
Check your hard drive.
