I got a new mobo and CPU and cant even get to the BIOS. I have done the following:

Changed monitor
Changed PSU
Changed VGA
Changed RAM
Double Checked Jumpers

No beep or POST error. Fans spin. The only thing I have not tested is the CPU. Any ideas? Is it DOA?

Well, you pretty much narrowed it down to the motherboard or the CPU. The chance of getting a dead CPU is highly unlikely, (It could happen though, but you’d have to be a very unlucky person! lol) so I am going to have to say you got a dead motherboard on your hands.

Oh yeah! The hard drive and CD drive, did you try to start it without them?

Nearly possible. What kind of mobo is that?

Unplug everything, start only with hardware needed to get to the Bios.

You could start only with mobo and cpu (if you didn't do that already), link reset and power switch, led's and PSU. If you then get sound communicate then mobo is not damaged. If it is you should hear that. Remember to unplug all drives.

Meybe it's underpowered?

Good luck!

I once received a mobo that was still in some sort of test mode and could not do anything (just like you). When I called the manufacturer, they had me unplug the computer, remove the cmos battery, and then short the terminals together (I believe it's a cmos reset). That cleared whatever it was and I still have that whopping 230 MHz MSI mobo running to date.

When all else fails beat the $%!* out of it!!!

I agree with Radek, make sure that you have all of the necessary power hooked up. On the newer boards if you haven't upgraded in awhile (depending on manufacturers of course) is another "p3" connector from a 350+watt power supply for the motherboard along with the standard ATX power connector. And then clear the CMOS by the jumpers or remove the battery both will/should achieve the same result.

One more thing, one step further with what Radek said.... Remove the mobo from the case and rest it on a cardboard box (perhaps the box that the mobo came in, to rule out a possible short) and boot up with the bare necessities. unplug memory, video one by one to see if you can get some kind of response. after that return the damn thing.
