I was throwing some spare parts i have lying around into what i hope to be a computer when i am finished. Im not sure if the memory i have is good or not. cpu and psu is all working well. i had everyting in, but on boot up, i have a black screen and no error beeps. the monitor lights turns orange to indicate no signal. i figured if my mb was workign, if i pulled my memory, that i would get a beep, but i have nothing. should i still get bios without memory if my board were good?

99% of computer problems are not the motherboard nor power supply but simply between the keyboard and the chair.

With the memory back in, pull the video card and see if you get a beep sequence.
