Dead Fan on my Video Card.....

I have an ASUS V8200 card which is 2 years old... just recently the fan crapped itself. ASUS support is absolutely hopeless... i have to return my whole card to them (depite it being only a failed fan), they cannot send me a new fan under warranty.. and if it is out of warranty they won't even sell me a new fan.... Does anybody know of an aftermarket solution which is compatable with the heatsink on this card so that I don't have to start pulling stuff apart.....

you can grab any thermaltake video card heatsink and use it.
It will come with adhesive thermal tape but I would recommend you finding a more stable solution like thermal epoxy

You can also get radical. Same thing happened with my ATI8500LE. They would replace the fan free, but I got to send them the card (in Canada), etc.
I had an old CPU heatsink and fan; I removed the onboard card fan (left the heatsink on), removed the CPU fan from the heatsink (4 tiny screws only) drilled one additional hole for screw access on the CPU fan mount, and screwed it straight into the V.Card heatsink. Talk about COOLING! This card base clocks at 250, I used Rage overclocker utility to boost it up to 285 with no problems or overheating, and tonight I'm going for 300MHz! :0)

Summary: If the fan on the Video Card isn't working, it is either overheating or not working at all. If it overheated, it could have fried. Might try another fan on the Video card and see if that works. ...
