OS: AsRock P4V88
CPU/Ram: Celeron D 2.4, Rosewill D
Comment:

So...i had a bad motherboard...confirmed it by sending it back and the manufacturer telling me so. SO i bought a new one. Here's what i got:

AsRock P4V88
INtel Celeron D 2.4
Rosewill DDR 400, 256mb
Asus X-series V9400

i took the ram out and got some beeps...
took the vid card out and got some beeps...
reinstalled everything but now get no beeps at all. Could this be a bad CPU??
it powers on...all fans running...keyboard lights up...monitor gasses up...just nothing else
and the only cables hooked to it are for the keyboard, mouse, and monitor...i'm just trying to get it to POST

one more thing...k...i reset the cmos and got it to beep. It beeped repeatedly and fast with a white screen and flashing line like in dos. any idea what this means...the manual does not cover post beeps. it only did this once and i can't get it to do it again

THANKS!

ok, yank everything except the ram/cpu/ vid card. i think u have done this and it goes nowhere.
yank ram, see what it does.
and remember the beeps, that will tell u whats wrong.

Keep in mind that if you get beeps, that means the motherboard and CPU are 'probably' working. The CPU is needed to get any beeps.
