hi all

I have an issue that I am not sure of it and I wish I could find help here..

My computer has "256 DDR2-400 SDRAM", I want to increase the RAM by adding anothere 256 DDR2 RAM..

what I want to ask about is: is it possible to install a new "256 DDR2-533 SDRAM" to the mothereboard.. wouldn't it conflect with the old RAM?

Anothere thing I want to ask about is: is it possible to install 512 RAM instead of the 256 one? from my expereience I think it is not possible because the size of the memorey must be a power of two (2^X) and I am just wanting to make sure of what I think..

Thanks in advanced for help

Do you know your motherboard model? If so then visit www.crucial.com
you will find exactly the right ram for your system. You don't have to buy from them but they do absolutely guarantee that what they recommend will work.

I used to have a signature but it disappeared and I just couldn't be bothered writing another so please feel free to ingore this.
