Subject: DDR2 Problem
OS: WIN XP
CPU/Ram: Intel Core2 Duo 2.66 MB /
Model/Manufacturer: Asus P5GC-MX
Comment:
I have installed 2x512Mb DDR2 PC4300 into DIMM1 & DIMM2 on my Asus P5GC-MX, the system crashed & blue screen appear when startup. I try to remove 1 stick DDR from DIMM2 and keep the other in DIMM1, the system working normally. Can someone help me how to install 2X512mb DDR2 on this MOBO without the problem above?

Perhaps you have faulty RAM!
Try only using 1 DIMM! Then try other DIMM on the same slot!
Repeat the same for the second slot!
Try to update your BIOS!
Good Luck!

I'm just a shadow of my former self!

Test the suspected bad RAM with memtest86...if any errors are found, return it.

wait..

What "KIND" of DDR2 did you buy???

Did you buy the el-cheap-o, 4 layer, high density stuff? Or did you buy the low density stuff?

I'm willing to bet this one purchased the crap RAM and is wondering why it is not working properly. I could be wrong.

I have tested both of my DDR2 as Dark666 sugested, and i found that the second DDR is unstable and always shown Blue screen when i use it. I also tested the bad DDR2 with Vista Memory Diagnose Tool and there are some errors found. I think that the DDR is already damage and can not be use anymore. Thanks's for all of your responses...
