OS: WINxp pro sp2
CPU/Ram: 512

I just bought 512 mb ddr2 ram and later found out after I tried to put it into my computer that my motherboard dos'nt support ddr2 and now my computer dosnt start up, I just get a black screen and nothing happens.
is my motherboard broken ?
and is there any chance of damage to the ram I just purchased
and replys would be greatly apperciated

I just kept the original ram in and tried them back and forth in atemt to start my computer

Put your original ram back in and while doing that remove the battery for 30 seconds.
Then install battery, plug up puter, and reboot. Should work.

should try reset the bios jumper instead of taking out the mainboard battery.
