Name: Jesse (by mooneyjess1999)
I searched on google for a couple of hours and could not find an answer to this problem;
My current RAM configuration is as follows;
Slot 1= > Samsung DDR PC 3200 (512MB)
M3 68L6523CUS-CCC
Slot 2= > Kingston DDR PC 3200 (1024MB)
KVR400X64C3A
Slot 3= > Samsung DDR PC 3200 (512MB)
M3 68L6523CUS-CCC
Slot 4= > EmptyBefore I did not have the Kingston Ram, and the computer ran in Dual Channel mode. The two Samsung pieces of ram have 1 row and 4 banks, the kingston has 2 rows and 4 banks.
Anyways, my computer is no longer running in dual channel mode, and when I ran a test in AIDA32 it showed that my memory read/ write speeds went down, a fair amount. So what should I do to get dual channel mode back, or even just bring up my read/ write speeds? I was thinking that maybe the Kingston Ram with 2 rows is not as good as the Samsung with one row, and it is weighting it down.
Thank-You,
Jesse

dual channel mode only works with pair modules....u have three so dual channel isn't available.Memory modules have different read and write speeds depending on manufacturer or quality....when u install 2 different modules ,BIOS sets the speed of the lowest module..in your case the kingstone(keep in mind that u also ain't running dual channel mode,128 bit...u have now only 64 bit interface)

Dual = two. You have three. There are very few boards that will run 3 sticks of RAM in dual channel mode...the only board I can think of offhand is the Shuttle AN35N Ultra.

Try changing the Slot 2= > Kingston DDR PC 3200 (1024MB) to Slot 3 and the Slot 3= > Samsung DDR PC 3200 (512MB) to Slot 2 this should give you dual channel mode if your board supports it.
If you have the manual for the mobo check the ram configuration options.
Anyway you have nothing to lose to try it.
