I was lookinf at Ram today at best buy and there is no such thing as DDR, the guy said it was called something else but he didnt know what? Also why is 256 more then 512? Is there a such place to find cheap used working ram?

Go to either of these places to get your ram, both are guaranteed to work in your system and also have a life time warranty. They may not ne the cheapest, but the quality is there. You also will be dealing with people that know what they are talking about. Crucial will deliver your ram to your door in no more than two days at no extra charge.

not sure if you are getting confused by the different terminology. there seems to be two different naming systems for the same thing. PC1600 = ddr200 , PC2100 = ddr266 , pc2700 = ddr333 , pc3200 = ddr400.
Summary: It's a Asus A7V8X motherborad. It can support DDR400 it said on the box. I was just thinking to get the faster type of Ram, the DDR or the SDRAM. I just went to get the Micron Original 512MB PC3200 DD...
