Comment:

I have 3 Rams. Two of them is 512MB DDR333 and 256MB DDR333. One of them is 512MB DDR400.

There I have a problem that what ram should I use?
btw, 768MB DDR333 vs 512MB DDR400 => which one would be faster?

Again What should I choose?

I believe that DDR 400 would be faster. If you had all DDR 400's you would be flying along.

The DDR 333's are slowing your DDR 400 down just a little bit, but with that much RAM, it shouldn't really matter.

Your PC2700 (DDR333) will drag your PC3200 (DDR400) down to it's level, so if you pair up the two 512MB sticks, you'd effectively have 1GB PC2700. That's better than 512MB PC3200 or 768MB PC2700.

How many RAM slots do you have...I'm guessing two? Does your board support dual channel mode?

Athlon XP 1800+

Asus A9550GE/TD 128MB

It depends on your system use. Keep in mind that more RAM only speeds up your system if you do not have enough for the mix of programs that you run.
If you run out of free memory, then you have to use virtual memory which slows the system down.

jam, I have 3 RAM slots.

<<you'd better not use ddr333 and ddr400 together. this may cause physical problem!>>

What problems would occur when I combine to use? Will it effect my hardwares like mobo, Hdd, or something?

Pls suggest me to decide..

With regards......
