I have burnt A Data +RDVD on my office computer with Roxio.Brought it home to view on my Dell Inspiron with the Adaptec5. The DVD drive does not recognize the DVD and shows O bytes. Does the disk need to be finalized? It works on both of my computers at work which both have the Roxio, and at 2 computers will not recognize any data on it. I would like to find a solution so that all the computers are compatible to transfer files. Would the exact same software save this problem? Or is it that each computer (all Dell) have slightly 3 different burners and laptop has a DVD reader only. The newest computer has Windows XP-Media, with dual drives and seems to be the fussiest.

Wish to work out all computer incompatabilities and bugs between 5 coputers withing office and home.

You probably need to close the session.

Forgive my ignorance but what is Data+RDVD (maybe this is why your home PC doesn't recognize it)

@XpUser, He just meant that it was a data disc (i.e. not movie or music) and that it was a +R DVD disc.

@GeekLady, DVD drives have becoma commodity and they are build using cheap, inexpensive parts. Some just are "weak" and cannot read all burned discs. I had a similar problem reading burned DVDs on one of my computers. the drive performed normally in every other manner. I ended up replacing the drive and the replacement reads my burned discs fine.
