Solved DAS-T8CA device fails to connect and operate in RAID-O mode

February 11, 2013 at 09:13:51
Specs: Macintosh 9.2.2

I had been using it connected to a G4 MAC operating in a OS 9.2.2 environment quite successfully up until sometime in 2005. For reasons I don't immediately recall, I discontinued using it for a time, so it was in storage until now, but is still in outstanding condition.

The CD and operating instruction received with the device has been misplaced and my recent attempts at obtaining useful information on "the net" were unsuccessful. I need assistance and instructions, as well as any necessary drivers needed to make the device operational in RAID 0 mode. My objective is to establish a "high speed" work/storage area in which to work on and save large Photoshop files at maximum throughput.

It is not clear what OS you intend to use and what drives are incorporated into the enclosure.

I would NOT recommend using RAID 0 for long term storage of photos. There is no redundancy with RAID 0.
