When i run Media player and view clips on web sites,the picture is dark.I also have power dvd and it runs fine.So i don't think the video card is it.Any ideas. Thanks.

if you have the proper graphics drivers installed , like from a cd or the makers website try this, if you are using basic built in windows drivers you probably wont have this option. right click on deskstop, select properties, select settings, select advanced, now do you have some tabs one of which may say 'Overlay' or go into the tabs you do have and find Overlay, you can then turn up the Overlay brightness. You will need to have the movie running in media player whilst you do this.

I have a Geforce FX 5700 Ultra and i did as you said and it's just what the doctor ordered.I adjusted the overlay and now the picture is great.Thanks a bunch.
