D drive is not accessible!

Hewlett-packard / Dvd writer dvd-cd-r
August 17, 2009 at 19:06:45
Specs: Windows XP Home Edition
First, I had a problem with the yellow exclamation mark next to the dvd/cd-r writer in the device manager. I found out how to delete the "upper filter" file and rebooted the computer. Now the yellow exclamation mark and the computer actually acknowledges the drive but new problems arise.

I want to make a picture CD. I have the pictures I want in one folder, I try to right-click and chose "send to" to copy the pictures right to the D drive but the option is not there.

When I have the picture folder open, I "select all" photos and go to edit, "copy files to folder" then chose the D drive, I get an error: D:/ is not accessible, Incorrect function.

I then went into the properties of the HP dvd writer and chose the "Enable digital CD audio for this CD-ROM device". I rebooted the computer and it did nothing.

Also when I'am in my computer, the D drive is showing as a DVD writer and then a CD writer another time.

I'am very confused and really want to burn this picture CD, currently my Nero program is acting up and will not open, I'm trying to un-install and re-install them. Please Help!!

I think you should reinstall the nero program then use it to burb the file to a Cd.
