Comment: i have a viewsonic A75f monitor and for some reason all the green pixels on the monitor stopped showing. Like when i turn my monitor on, everything thats supposed to be white is a shade of pink-purple. i tried changing the refresh rate and resolution all the way down to 640x480 at 60hz but it was the same. Its not the graphics card problem because i bought my sisters monitor in here and it was normal... When i turn my monitor on it wont show green but after about 15 minutes it goes back to normal, but then the green goes away again after another 30 minutes. I also checked all the wires and everything looks like it is plugged in right

Reply: (edit)There are no user servicable parts to a monitor. You could take it to a tech if you can find one who will give you a free quote. I've always found that CRT monitors are not worth the cost of repairing when you can get a brand new one with warranty for not much more than the repair cost. I used to have a signature but it disappeared and I just couldn't be bothered writing another so please feel free to ingore this.

Reply: (edit)It might be a broken wire in the video card connector. You could try wiggling it to see if it makes a difference. Unfortunately, that would also probably be quite expensive to repair, unless the cable is replaceable.
