Hello members A few months ago I bought and installed this HDD:Seagate Barracuda 7.200, 200 GB IDE Hard Drive. Till a few weeks ago it all seemed to work ok and then I started noticing small changes or small things not working exactly. I then got Easy Recovery Pro to run the partition test and this is what the result is: Test Results: Partition test for volume C: Failed! Partition test for volume X: Failed! Recommendations: Partition test for drive C failed, critical system structure errors have been found. Partition test for drive X failed, critical system structure errors have been found. Is there a possibility without formating? Is this a "physical" problem? Does the drive need to be replaced?
Any comments and suggestions are very much appreciated.

Hi Lawrence It is a HDD from a retailer and it is about 5 months old. The system was protected with SIS 2005 and never had a problem. Also Spybot,Counterspy and Ad-aware6 are regularly run. Someone suggested it may be runing a slight bit to hot. For some reason the temp is quite often above the 50 degr C. Any other suggestions?
