OS: XP Home
CPU/Ram: 1.9/1GB DDR
Comment:

I just downloaded 3dmark 03. When I ran the benchmarks, I couldn't run the CPU tests. Why is this?
My system:
1.9GHz P4
1 GB DDR
GeForce 4 MX 420
SB Live
Is it because of my MX 420 video card, or is something not properly configured?
Thanks in advance.

don't bother with 3dmark 03 it sux even the most powefullest home PC is no match for it.

i have a

athlon XP 2200
120gig WD
512 DDR-RAM
geforce 4 Ti 4200
40x cd-rw

my PC is pretty fast and even on benchmark 3D i get really bad frame rateslike under 10fps.

so dont bother with it use 2002 for the tests.

Yea 2002 rules. Futuremark Co. probably planned to not have to release a new app for a couple of years, and released this PC murderer of a PC diagnostic.

you n00b tdsmithj, 3dMark 03 is meant, MEANT to stress your computer! Remember when 3dMark2001 first came out, it was jsut as big of a match for our computers as '03 is today. btw, get a better gfx card and you'll see better results since your current one isnt really that great (cant say yours is crap though since i have a ti-4400 myself :P - I need a 9700 or GF FX too...)

2100+ tbred B at 2.4ghz 200fsb

leadtek ti-4400

3dmark2001 - 15007
3dmark03 - 2200

shut up AMD ur the noob. your the kind of stuck up people who people dont like, i give my professional advice and you slag it off.

as u know even the geforce FX got s--- marks and elso gave out quite a few nagative issues. If you read up on it your know.

the 3DMarks 2003 are mean't to test graphics card which are not avialable yet.

If you read the tests about the 3DMark 2003 your find out alot of hardware wont work on it. They released the software to early and should of waited when the new cards come out. not a few months back.

If you read about it your find out lots of people have problems with it and its comptabilty problems with many graphic cards.

I am not going just to me i am going on what Futuremark Co said, even the Nvdia are having a go at Futuremark Co about the new 3DMarks

if you dont believe me ask Futuremark Co and Nivada yourself.

My actually point is that its no use downloading the software untill better cards comes out because the highly demand of power which is need to run the 3DBnchmark 03 is just stupid.

you fool

I forgot to say that I have a 80 GB WD 7200 hard drive.
You won't believe this. I got a score of only 150! That's because the crappy tester only let me run ONE out of the many tests there were! I don't know why! I hope that buying an ATI Radeon 9800 pro will satisfy 3dmark 03! Really, I have no clue of why it only let me run one test, and nothing else. I see now why you say 03 sucks, tdsmithj.
I'll get 2002 today. thanks
