CPU speed querried

OS: WinXP
CPU/Ram: 2.4MHz, 512Mb
Product: Expotech
Comment:

I often get this message at bootup : "During last boot, your system hung for an improper CPU speed. It's now running in Safe Mode. Make sure the CPU speed conforms to the specifications."

I would not know how to vary CPU speed - is there a way of avoiding this message ?

Sounds like it could be an overheating issue. Check in the BIOS and make sure that the CPU, Front Side Bus, DRAM speed are set to auto. It might not be exactly written that way in the BIOS though.

CPU speed has 3 options : Manual, 2.2GHZ & 3.4Ghz
Memory frequency is already on Automatic.
I can find no reference to 'Front Side Bus'.
