hi, iv got a toshiba equium m50-235 laptop, intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 1.7ghz..795mhz..248mb Ram..40gb HD.. and basically i want to upgrade it all if i can. im about to get 2 gb ram so that's ok.. I hear i can upgrade the cpu? buh i dont know where to even start with thing's like this.? any help would be great thanks.

I can understand upgrading the RAM, 256MB isn't near enough for decent performance. But I don't know if changing the CPU would be cost effective. What do you use the laptop for that you feel needs more CPU horsepower?
BTW, double check your RAM type...some M50 models use DDR, others use DDR2.

I use it for everything really. game's, music production. it's my only comp at the min. i dont have the money to buy a new laptop so upgrading it is the next best thing. Im not to sure how to check the ram as it's under the keyboard and i dont wanna break it lol

I agree with Jam, put 2gb in and you should see a nice improvment. Forget about the CPU, it's usually not worth it, if it's even possible.

the cpu change i think is possible as i searched around and a dude said that has the same comp and heard it can be changed. buh if you say the ram will make a nice change thaen maybe its not worth it. it is really slow atm tho..
