I have an old motherboard "486 Socket 3" with a Am486 DX2-66 processor. I have 2 other processors, Am486 DX4-100 and one marked on bottom digital Model PCXAU-AA and DX4 100M/33 on the side. I was wanting to know if they will fit in this old motherboard. The only jumper settings I can find are the Cache memory,
CLK JP1 JP2 JP3
25 ON OFF ON
33 OFF ON ON
? OFF OFF OFFcant read last clk setting. i think it's 66
and
PGA W2 W3
486SX (PGA) 2-3 OPEN
486DX/DX2 1-2,3-4 2-3
P23N/P23T 1-2,3-4 1-2I don't know if it is the multiplier or what. The motherboard is a G486UVP I think manufactured by Tekram. BIOS string
(C) Ameircan Megatrends Inc.

I read this in a fourm here "Yes, you can fit a 486DX4 in a DX2 Mobo, but, you might need a voltage regulator adapter, depending on the socket. If you have a socket 1 or socket 2 processor socket, you will need a voltage regulator adapter to support a non-overdrive DX4. If you have a socket 3, you will not need the adapter." Are there any faster processors I can use in it? Does anyone know anything about this mohterboard? The string and mobo model are 100% correct. Manufacture is a guess. At one time I found someone wanting same info and manual but I lost his email address.
