Cpu high temperature

Specs: Windows XP, AMD X4 9750
Hello, one week ago i bought new pc and i have AMD Phenom X4 9750 cpu but i have problem i dont know why my cpus temperature goes 60C and when i play games or somthing it goes more 77C what could be the problem and how can i find solution. Thanks.

There are several possibilities:

- the HSF is installed correctly. Did you use a thermal pad or paste? If paste, did you apply a single dab about the size of a grain of rice in the center of the CPU? Did you lock it down securely?

- case cooling is non-existent or poorly configured. If the system temp is high, the CPU temp will be high. What is your system temp?

- temps are being inaccurately reported. Are you getting these temp readings from the BIOS or a software program? If it's software, did you at least compare it against the BIOS readings to make sure they're both the same?
