Just got a new Biostar M7NCD Pro motherboard from newegg. Having a lot of trouble with it. The latest problem is that the CPU heatsink fan won't spin when booting up. There is also a CMOS checksum error. However, the board can recognize my CPU and Ram. Any advice? Thanks a lot!

Double check to make sure you have it plugged into the JCFAN1 header next to the cpu. Make sure the plug is oriented correctly and not forced backwards into the header. Ground is pin number one. If this does not work try another fan or check the one you have. It should have the voltage listed on the fan. Use another source to check it with jumpers.

Thanks buster65! I am pretty sure that I did everything right, and the fan actually worked fine when I reinstalled it back to my old mobo. I suspect the mobo is defective. Anyway, I just requested RMA on Newegg.com and hope they will replace me a good board.
