cpu after being on for a few hours

After my computer has been on for a few hours my cpu usages go to 100 % could this be the fan on the cpu???

help it becomes very slow

You need to find out what program is making your CPU usage rise. Do a CTRL-ALT-DELETE and look in the processes window for any program that is taking up the majority of the CPU time.
