Im having an interesting problem. My main drive was a pair of striped Caviar drives but its long since been replaced with a raptor and the stripe is just storage. Occasionally windows explorer will freeze up- many times when I am copying or moving files to or from the stripe (but not necessarily- it can also freeze when Im doing somehting else.)
So WE will crash and Ill reboot at which point I get 2 identical versions of windows on the OS screen to choose from- both Windows XP Pro. Selecting either one gives me a message:
"Windows could not start because of a computer disk hardware configuration problem.
"Could not read form the selected boot disk. Check boot path and disk hardware."So I figure just use the install disc and repair the boot file. But before I do that I just wanted to check because there's something more specific.
Windows will boot once I unplug the stripe disks and reboot. Then I plug them back in, restart and everythings cool. Until it happens again that is.
I would be much appreciated if someone could straiten me out as to what the cause could be and if just using the repair disk is all thats necessary.
