I have 2 240pin DDR2 RAM sticks with 2GB in each; can I use them on a motherboard that is a 240pin DDR3? I've heard that you can't use DDR2 on DDR1 or DDR3 on a DDR2 motherboards, but is it backwards compatible can I use DDR2 on a motherboard that supports DDR3?

I doubt they would fit. Might see the wiki page on ram for more info.

You might damage the socket or the RAM if you try.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
