Corsair 750W Power Supply

Specs: Linux i686
Hi there!
I've just built my computer, and it was working perfectly until yesterday night.
While I was playing and downloading somethings, the computer started to make a weird noise, just like when you put paper on a fan.
The, after about 10 seconds, it shut down.
And I'm sure it's not a power problem (not enough power), because I have a 750w PSU with a 285GTX, Intel Motherboard, 6GB RAM and i7 920 processor.

Can anybody tell me what could be the problem?

Thanks in advance, Tiago.

Could still be the PSU if there is something foreign in there. Check to see if any wires are catching on a fan inside the computer case as well

Without the heat sink fan running the CPU will heat up fairly quickly and then the computer should shut down. After cooling off it should start back up though, if that were the problem.

Ditto on OtheHill's observation...a wire blocking your CPU fan would quickly sent the temps skyrocketing and result in a subsequent shutdown.
