Got this external drive from a friend that says 'file is corrupt and unreadable' when she tries to access it. It is an Iomagic 40gig external usb drive. She has all of her kids tax info on it so she desperately needs the data back. I have tried easy recovery pro, spinrite and a couple of other data recovery programs and I still get the same message. Help. All opinions are greatly appreciated and respected.
She came and got the drive this morning. I still couldn't get her data back and then I tried to explain to her the importance of backing up her data....fell on deaf ears! So I said have fun. Thanks for the replies and assistance. You guys are still the cats.
