copying ntldr doesn't work.

Hello, when i uninstalled norton antivirus 03 and restarted my computer it msged: ntldr is missing. ctrl alt del to restart. so i went to get a copy of -ntldr -ntdetect.com -boot.ini from windows xp home edition and put it onto my floppy i rebooted my computer and copied the files ntdetect.com and ntldr into the C:\WINDOWS\I386 and C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386 and i rebooted and i still said ntldr is missing. ctrl alt del to restart. What do i do?!?

You shouldn't have copied new files into the I386 folder...that's where they're stored. Now you've overwritten them.
You should have just copied them from the I386 folder to C:\

uh oh..how do i copy the ntdetect.com file and the ntldr file from the I386 folder to C:\ ?

Ok, the last question I wrote was pretty dumb. I copied it. Question. Since I had over written the ntldr file and the ntdetect.com files, does it matter which one I used? Because they were different number of KBs.
